The Gene Banking Tutor's educational outfit was set up in 1994 to meet the training needs of the Nigerian financial services industry. Our instructors impart not just theoretical knowledge, but also equip students or bank workers with the perspectives, tools, techniques and practical skills that can be applied on the job. Specifically, our training objectives include:
* Build the participants’ understanding of the basic principles of microfinance banking
* Sensitise the participants with microfinance banking best practices.
* Expose participants to the design, management and operations of banking products and services.
* Enhance participant’s capacity to handle loan delinquency
* Expose them to modern tools used in portfolio management.
* Sensitise the participants on developing appropriate institutional values and work ethics.

Our training methodology is flexible, interactive and pragmatic, including the following essential features:
* Presentations are made on Microsoft PowerPoint to create a relaxed atmosphere for participants,
* Management films annotate programmes to share the experience of other firms or latest developments;
* Handouts relieve participants from note-taking and serve as reference materials after the programme;
* Group work/syndicate sessions help to transfer inter personal and management skills;
* Case studies enable resource persons to offer word of mouth recommendations on specific topics/issues:
